I'm Martin, Designer, systems thinker and mediocre Spanish speaker living in sunny Spain.
Previously I have worked at Bestseller in Denmark, IBM in Spain and eBay in USA. Now I run a design studio at Uptick.Studio.
My interests center around questions like: How can I create more leverage, more output for each unit of input? How can I achieve my bucket list goals? How can I simplify?
Main interests
Three areas anchor my experience.
Health first
Energy is the foundation everything else stands on. When something urgent competes with health, health wins: today, not someday. Sleep, movement and real food beat clever hacks.
Building things
Making things is where I lose track of time. I try to build from curiosity, not compulsion. Deep work on one thing, then stop when the good work is done.
Authorship
I’m the captain of this ship: my hours go where I decide, not to other people’s priorities. When something keeps annoying me, I fix it at the level of the system.
